Mrs. Brown's first grade class learned about El Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a traditional Mexican holiday that honors and remembers loved ones who have passed away. Students explored colorful customs like decorating sugar skulls and learning about ofrendas—altars filled with special items to celebrate family members’ lives. Through stories, art, and music, they discovered how this joyful celebration focuses on love, remembrance, and the beauty of family traditions.
Mr. Walz’s class has entered the Spark Phase of the SmartLab Design Process! Students are exploring Connetix Tiles to learn how to build strong, creative ramps that will project their cars great distances.
